I am starting to develop some recipes for River House Dressing. They are quite tasty and I have been enjoying the opportunity to mess around with some ideas using their 5 flavors they provide. So you’ll be seeing some new recipe posts using their product! Here is one of the first ones, using their Blue Cheese Dressing I came up with this black and blue recipe, which is a combination I go to a lot. This recipe was developed for River House Food Products.
Black and Blue Alfredo
Cajun Seasoning:
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Coriander
- 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/4 tsp Oregano
Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Butter
- 2 Tbsp Flour
- 1 C Heavy Cream
- 1 C Milk
- 1/4 C River House Blue Cheese Dressing
- 1 1/2 tsp Cajun Seasoning
- 1 1/2 tsp Salt
To make the sauce melt butter in a sauce pan, whisk in your flour to make a roux, this will thicken the sauce. Whisk and cook roux for 3 minutes on medium to low heat. Stir in milk and cream and whisk til smooth. Bring to a simmer on medium heat to thicken sauce. When sauce is thick remove from heat and whisk in cajun seasoning, dressing, and salt.
In a separate pot bring water to a boil . Add in pasta and cook til al dente. When done strain water and toss pasta in the sauce.
