Vanilla Orange Cake with candied Orange Peel

This beautiful cake was made by Abby this morning so there isn’t much I can say in this post today other than it is delicious. So i’ll leave it at that and give you guys the recipe!


Vanilla Orange Cake

  • 225g Butter (Softened)
  • 250g Vanilla Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 2 Oranges (Trimmed, seeded, and chunked)
  • 315g AP Flour
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder

Cream butter and sugar on medium until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Pulse orange chunks in food processor until mostly smooth. Add 1 1/2 C Orange mix into the batter. Add sifted dry mix and beat until smooth. Bake in greased bundt pan at 325º until risen, firm to touch and toothpick comes out clean (Approx. 55 min). Cool 10-15 min. invert and cool completely.

Candied Orange Peel

Orange Glaze

  • 185 g Powdered Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp + 2 tsp Orange Juice

Whisk together orange and powdered sugar until smooth. Glaze cake once completely cooled. Cut, serve, and enjoy!
